The northern end of the corridor
Mauna Kea Beach Hotel sits above Kaunaoa Bay, about twenty eight miles from KOA, thirty five minutes direct. It is the longest of the standard resort transfers, which also makes it the one where a shared shuttle loop costs the most. Arriving here after an hour in a van with four other stops is a poor start to a trip built around this beach.
One campus, two arrival courts
Mauna Kea and Westin Hapuna share a campus, golf courses, and an internal shuttle, but the arrival courts are separate. Tell us which hotel and we drop at the right one. The Mauna Kea residences and Kaunaoa homes above the hotel are gated and we serve them regularly.
Beach stop on departure day
Late check out, afternoon flight, and nothing to do in between. The fix is a stop at Hapuna or Waialea with the luggage already loaded, sometimes lunch in Kawaihae, then the airport on schedule. It is the most requested add on at this property.
Waimea, Hawi, and Pololu
You are closer than any other resort to the parts of the island most visitors skip. Waimea is twenty minutes up the Kawaihae road, Hawi and Kapaau another thirty through pasture, and Pololu Valley at the end of the highway. All easy half day chauffeur trips, none of them fun to drive back after dark.
