Town and Keauhou
Kailua-Kona is nine miles south of the airport, fifteen to twenty minutes. Keauhou is another ten minutes down Alii Drive or the upper highway. We serve the Alii Drive hotels, Royal Kona, Courtyard King Kamehameha, Outrigger Kona Resort and Spa at Keauhou, and the condominium complexes along the coast.
The most walkable base on the island
Alii Drive puts dinner, coffee, the seawall, and Kailua Bay within a few blocks of most hotels. That is why guests staying here often need a vehicle only for the airport and for two or three day trips, and why skipping the rental means skipping parking fees and the drive back from dinner.
Late arrivals and the evening bunch
Mainland flights cluster into KOA between 5pm and 9pm. Rideshare in town works in daylight and thins out after that, and Palani Road backs up at dinner and cruise ship hours. A reserved transfer with a fixed quote removes both problems.
Day trips from town
Kona coffee farms and Holualoa galleries above town, Volcanoes National Park to the south, the Mauna Kea summit for sunset and stars, and the drive north to Waipio and Hawi. All start and end at your hotel, and none of them put you on Saddle Road or Highway 11 in the dark.
